Lower Gila River Collaborative

Rio Reimagined partners with the Lower Gila River Collaborative to support collective goals of restoring the lower Gila River ecosystem while encouraging stewardship, recreation, and compatible development.

The Collaborative represents the western reach of a shared visionary revitalization initiative spanning 58-miles of the Salt and Gila River corridor.

As a long-term collaborative structure, the Collaborative’s Leadership Council, Coordinating Team, Working Groups, and Action Teams commit to following basic principles of successful collaboration:

  • Balance and inclusiveness
  • Transparency
  • Shared leadership, shared responsibility, shared funding, shared credit
  • Outcomes orientation and focus on collective impact
  • Constructive and active participation
